Vehicle Crime Reported in Three Legged Cross

Good evening,

Dorset Police would like to make residents aware that we have recently received reports of two vehicle thefts and one theft from an unattended motor vehicle in the Three Legged Cross area.

Incident Details

Crime Occurrence (55260138366) Theft of items from an unattended motor vehicle.  Ringwood Road, Three Legged Cross. Occurred between 03/09/2026 22:15 - 03/09/2026 22:43.

Crime Occurrence (55260138413) Theft of Chrysler vehicle from Broadmead Road, Three Legged Cross. Occurred between 03/09/2026 17:00 to 02:56 04/09/2026. 

Crime Occurrence (55260140087) Theft Of Dacia Vehicle in Greycot Close, Three Legged cross. Occurred between 5/9/2026  23:00 and 6/9/2026 07:00. 

👀 Witness Appeal

We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has relevant CCTV, doorbell camera, dashcam footage, or other information that may assist our enquiries, to please get in touch.

In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who:

• Saw suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around the times of the incidents.
• Noticed individuals trying vehicle door handles or acting suspiciously around parked vehicles.
• Has CCTV, Ring doorbell, or dashcam footage that may have captured persons or vehicles of interest.
• Has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

Vehicle crime can affect anyone, but there are simple steps you can take to reduce the risk:

✅ Always lock your vehicle and double-check that windows and sunroofs are fully closed.

✅ Remove valuables from your vehicle or keep them well out of sight.

✅ Do not leave keys near doors, windows, or letterboxes. Consider using a Faraday pouch if your vehicle uses keyless entry.

✅ Park in a well-lit location where possible and utilise CCTV or security lighting if available.

✅ Consider additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, tracking devices, and vehicle immobilisers.

✅ Never leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running, even for a short time.

✅ Report suspicious activity promptly. A timely report may help prevent further offences.
