Here’s an update on burglary locally. On Saturday 05th September 2026, two burglaries occurred on the same road in Bush Hill, N21 2BT.
At approximately 20:00hrs, CCTV captured two individuals walking along the side oh the property before jumping over the fence in the rear garden. The individuals attempted to open the rear garden door, which activated the alarm, causing them to run away. They later returned and were seen checking the front of the property for possible access before leaving the area again.
At approximately 22:30hrs, CCTV captured a blue Audi parking in front of the victim’s property gate. Four men wearing face coverings exited the vehicle, smashed the front ground floor window and gained access to the property. The alarm went off, and neighbours noticed what was happening and attempted to contact the police. The suspects then fled the scene. They were seen carrying what appeared to be a hammer and screwdriver and loading the victim’s belongings into the vehicle.
In both incidents, the occupants were away from their properties on holiday at the time. As both burglaries occurred on the same road on the same evening enquiries are ongoing to establish whether the two incidents are connected. At this stage, it has not been confirmed whether the same suspects were involved.
Residents are reminded to remain vigilant, particularly when leaving their properties unattended or going away on holiday. Please ensure all doors and window are securely locked and report any suspicious activity to police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
