Oldham District Mini Police Scheme 2026/27

We are about to run Oldham District Mini Police 2026/27 and due to the success of the scheme over the last year we’ve added 3 more Primary Schools.

We have had much a successful 2 years with 2 Schools Holy Family and Beever Primary School that we are now happy to bring 3 more schools into this project this year. I am happy to say that Alexandra Primary School/Northmoor and Mills Hill Primary School have been accepted.

This will now mean that students from year 5/6 at Primary Schools selected through Mini Police Applications. 

This will then mean 10 Mini Police officers to be selected in your schools with 5 from yr5 and 5 from yr6. All applicants  will be considered by school staff leaving 10 from each class to be interviewed by ourselves. This will give young people selected a sense of achievement. Success applicants will then be paraded on in front of rest of students.

All Mini Police Officers will receive kit i.e. Hi Vis/Caps and Pocket Notebook, all with Mini Police Logos. They with receive kit and certificate at Attestation Night  (Accepted and Sworn into Police Family)

We managed to obtain £500 from High Sherrif Funding so we are covered with uniform.

We will be visiting each school over the coming weeks so we can go through process and deliver Mini Police Presentation to all year 5/6 students to give them an insight to this exciting opportunity.
