Good news!

Highgate Safer Neighbourhoods Team will be holding a free bike-marking event on:

📍 Swain's Lane, N6

We will have a dedicated stall where residents can have their bicycles security marked and registered free of charge.

Bike marking is a simple and effective crime prevention measure. Your bicycle will be added to a secure national database, making it easier for police to identify and return your bike if it is ever lost or stolen. Security labels will be fitted to your bicycle and linked to your registration details.

To help speed up the registration process, please bring your bike frame number with you if possible. The frame number is usually located underneath the bicycle's bottom bracket or on the frame itself. If you are unsure where to find it, our officers will be happy to assist.

The process only takes a few minutes and provides an additional deterrent against thieves while increasing the likelihood of stolen bikes being recovered and returned to their owners.

Our team will also be on hand to provide bicycle security advice and discuss any local policing concerns you may have.

We look forward to meeting residents and helping to keep Highgate's bicycles safe from theft.
