Parking Around Our Schools

We continue to receive complaints about dangerous and inconsiderate parking around schools in Wardleworth, particularly near Heybrook Primary School, St Patrick's RC Primary School, Brownhill School and St Mary's RC Primary School during drop off and pick up times.

Vehicles parking on zig zag markings, junctions, pavements and directly outside school gates can obstruct visibility, cause congestion and place children and families at risk when crossing the road. We have previously seen roads become blocked, traffic tailbacks form and drivers become frustrated due to poor parking.

Please allow extra time for your journey, park legally and consider the safety of everyone using our roads. Our neighbourhood officers will continue to patrol these areas and take action where necessary.
