🚔 Proactive Patrols Deliver Results

On Monday 7th September 2026, PCSO Baker and PCSO Alem were out carrying out routine neighbourhood patrols when they successfully located a male wanted by the courts for failing to appear in relation to theft and criminal damage offences dating back to September 2025. Following checks, the male was detained, arrested and conveyed to custody.

Later the same day, officers continued their patrols and located a second male who was also wanted by the courts for failing to appear, this time in connection with drug offences from June 2026. The male was detained, arrested and taken into custody to be brought before the courts.

In addition to these arrests, officers also took positive action to improve road safety. A moped rider was stopped and spoken to during patrols, with checks revealing that the vehicle was being used without valid insurance. The rider was reported for the offence and issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR). The vehicle was subsequently seized and recovered to the vehicle pound in accordance with legislation.

These results highlight the value of proactive neighbourhood policing and high-visibility patrols, which not only help to locate wanted offenders but also address offences that affect the safety and wellbeing of our communities. By taking positive action against those wanted by the courts and uninsured drivers, officers are helping to make our streets safer for everyone.
