Dear Resident,
Oscott Neighbourhood update – 21/08/2026 – 31/08/2026 Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Perry Barr area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents, especially around domestic abuse, robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support.
🛑 Crime Updates
Burglary – There have been no reported Burglaries.
➡️ Please remain vigilant and review your home security — consider alarms, CCTV, and good lighting.
Vehicle Crime-
Theft of a motor vehicle.
Shady Lane. Incident happened between 8pm on 26/08/2026 and 5:48am on 27/08/2026.
Theft from a motor vehicle.
Birkenshaw Road. Incident happened between 9pm on 17/08/2026 and 6am on 26/08/2026.
➡️ Key-less entry theft remains a concern. Please use Faraday pouches, remove visible items, and consider physical deterrents like steering wheel lock. Team Highlights
29/08/2026 - Our local NHT officers were delighted to attend a community event at Grosvenor Road Studios. It was great engaging with local residents.
