Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 27th August 2026 to 3rd September 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough. The Police Reference Number (PR) with each of the reports is shown in brackets. Car Crime This week there has been 6 reports of a suspected thefts from car and 1 report of an attempt to gain access to a vehicle. 3 reports of license plates being stolen. Arrests. There were 42 arrests in the period August 27th 2026 to September 2nd 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 8, Rape/Sexual Offence 4, Drugs 1, Prescribed Limit 3, Violent Crime other 3, Harassment/Stalking 3, Hate/Diversity 2, Child Protection 2, Master Occurrence 5*, Criminal Damage 1, Offensive Weapon 1, Burglary Residential 1, Crime Other 4, Concern for Safety 2, Neighbour Dispute 1, Fraud 1.
*A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been 1 report of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. An attempted Romance Fraud.
Burglaries North 02/09/2026 Between 06:00 to 08:30. Buckles Way, Banstead. Attempted Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Attempted forced entry through the front door of the property. Suspects have also gained entry into the garage. Stolen: Nothing Taken. (PR 45260108145) 03/09/2026 02:18. Brambling Close, Banstead. Attempted Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Suspect has attempted to enter the property through the backdoor. Stolen: Nothing Taken. (PR 45260107385)
Central Between 01/09/2026 22:00 to 02/09/2026 04:00. Hitchings Way, Reigate. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of a Car. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Car Keys and Car. (PR 45260106663)
South 02/09/2026 Between 03:00 to 03:43. Crescent Way, Horley. Residential Burglary Method of Entry – Access to the property has been gained through the front door. The suspects have been disturbed by the occupant of the property and left the premises. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45260106803)
