Dear Resident, Blythe Crime update from Sunday 30th August to Monday 7th September 2026. Residential Burglary of an unconnected building (garden studio) 2/09/26. 01.45am. Kineton Lane Earlswood. A burglary was reported when three offenders entered the garden over the fence and lock snapped the front door to a garden studio at the bottom of the garden. The alarm was activated and the three offenders made off in a silver estate car. Vehicle Crime. Officers are no longer allowed to put the manufacturers of vehicles that have been affected by vehicle crime. Naming them may give them a bad reputation. Theft from motor vehicle. No Thefts from motor vehicles have been reported.
Beat Surgery. There will be a Police Beat Surgery on the 14/09/26 from 12pm – 1pm at Ethel’s Coffee and Kitchen, 20 Cheswick Way, Cheswick Green. B90 4JA. Security advice given. All Welcome. Thank you to Dickens Heath and Cheswick Green Street Watch for their patrols.
Please note. The thefts of Hybrids and 4 x4s are increasing around the West Midlands area. Please fit a steering lock. A tracking device may help locate the vehicle when fitted. Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or online. Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please don’t leave your property in darkness, leave a light on. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you don’t recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us. OBERVATIONS. If you see any residents leaving their property on an unregistered (no number plate) scrambler moto cross petrol or electric motorbikes, please email me or report it anonymously on Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 as they are riding through local parks and Solihull Town Centre.
Please make sure your vehicles are locked. Solihull are being hit with theft from unlocked vehicles. For more information on choosing a CCTV supplier please see the following link: www.bsia.co.uk Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
