On Thursday 10th September, project Adder will be working together with Neighbourhood officers to protect vulnerable residents and keep our communities safe
Residents may notice increased activity from local policing teams, the Local Authority and partner agencies in the area as part of a Project ADDER Cuckooing Day of Action.
Project ADDER brings together the police, Local Authority and other partner organisations to tackle drug-related harm, exploitation and associated crime.
What are we doing?
Working alongside Neighbourhood Policing Teams, the Local Authority and external partner agencies, we are carrying out coordinated activity to:
- Identify and support vulnerable residents who may be at risk of exploitation.
- Disrupt criminal activity and those responsible for exploiting vulnerable people.
- Provide safeguarding and support to residents who may need assistance.
- Address concerns affecting local residents and communities.
- Help prevent further exploitation and reduce drug-related harm and associated crime.
Our approach is focused on protecting vulnerable people while taking action against those who exploit them.
You can report concerns to your local Neighbourhood Policing Team or through the appropriate police reporting channels.
