DID YOU KNOW? 🔎 - BURGLARY |

|
When we think about protecting our homes from burglary, we often think about doors, windows and alarms. But there's something else around your property that could potentially help a burglar.
🔎 Did you know? The tools in your shed could potentially help someone break into your home. Hammers, screwdrivers, drills, ladders and other equipment can provide offenders with the means to force entry — meaning your shed could inadvertently contain the tools needed to target your home or a neighbour's property.
💡 Our tip: Keep sheds, garages and outbuildings locked and, where possible, secure valuable tools inside them.
Consider marking your tools with your postcode or another identifying method and keep a record of serial numbers where available. And don't forget about ladders — securing them can prevent them being used to reach windows or other access points.
🏠 Think beyond your front door — security starts around the whole property.
Look out for Part 4 of our Did You Know? series, where we'll be looking at criminal damage. | ||
