Quad Bike Seized

Good morning Resident, 

Yesterday myself and PC Weatherall seized a quad bike in West Kingsdown after it was located by us in the area, the quad was suspected to be stolen. 

The seizure forms part of our ongoing commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour, vehicle-related crime and the illegal use of off-road vehicles across our communities. Reports of nuisance motorcycles and quad bikes can cause significant concern for residents, damage land and public spaces, and create safety risks for other road users.

Officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols, act on information provided by the public and work with partner agencies to identify those responsible for vehicle-related offences.

Crime Prevention Advice

Owners of quad bikes, agricultural vehicles and other off-road vehicles are encouraged to:

✅ Remove keys when vehicles are unattended
✅ Store vehicles in secure garages, barns or outbuildings where possible
✅ Use additional security such as ground anchors, chains and wheel locks
✅ Consider fitting tracking devices and marking property with forensic security products
✅ Keep photographs, serial numbers and vehicle details recorded in case of theft
✅ Report any suspicious activity or vehicles being used irresponsibly in your area
