Dear Resident

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team have been made aware of some issues regarding parking along Whiteside Way. We just want to clarify –

There is no law stating that only you have the right to park outside your property.

If there are no parking restrictions ie. residents parking, double yellow lines and vehicles are taxed, insured and MOT’d there is no reason that they cannot be parked on a residential street.

Vehicles may be parked partially on the pavement but there must be no obstruction, for example, a double buggy or mobility scooter must be able to pass.

Vans can park on residential streets in this area, ensure that the vehicle is facing oncoming traffic to enhance visibility and reduce risk of accidents.

We ask that residents do not leave notes on or take photos of other vehicles. If vehicles are causing an obstruction to either the highway, your driveway or the pavement please contact Police on 101 and an available officer can attend and assess.
