Dear Residents of St Mary
We are aware of the anti-social behaviour (ASB) that has been occurring in and around St Mary's Church, particularly involving the use of e-bikes and e-scooters. We understand that this behaviour has caused concern among residents, visitors, and those who use the church grounds, and we would like to reassure the community that these issues are being taken seriously.
Local officers are continuing to monitor the area and gather information regarding those responsible. We are also working closely with the local council and partner agencies to identify appropriate measures that will help address the problem and improve safety for everyone. This collaborative approach will focus on reducing nuisance behaviour, preventing further incidents, and ensuring that public spaces can be enjoyed without disruption.
We appreciate the support of residents who have already reported incidents and shared information with us. Community intelligence plays a vital role in helping us build an accurate picture of what is happening and enables us to target our patrols and resources effectively.
If you witness any incidents of anti-social behaviour, please continue to report them through the appropriate channels. Your reports help us to identify patterns, gather evidence, and take positive action where necessary.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued cooperation.
