Elmdon Crime Updates 24/08/2026-01/09/2026:

Good Morning Elmdon Residents,

I hope you enjoyed the bank holiday weekend and took some time to take a break from work and the usual routine. This week has again been incredibly busy working alongside other local Neighbourhood Teams and attending some serious incidents to protect those most vulnerable.

Crime Updates 24/08/2026-01/09/2026:

Between 22/08/26 and 24/08/26, there was a theft of a motor vehicle from TANHOUSE FARM ROAD by unknown means.

Overnight on 24/08/2026, there was another theft of a motor vehicle on WHARTON AVENUE being a BMW in grey.

Good News:

Due to increased emergency demand this week, we have not managed to get out and about as much as we had hoped. However, we have been making a lot of progress behind the scenes relating to neighbour issues and ASB across the LEOS patch including identifying offenders causing ASB across Solihull and Birmingham!

On Monday, we had cause to stop two individuals in relation to a theft. They were suspected of attempting to steal a child's bike before they got on a bus and made some very unsavoury gestures to our team whilst fleeing the incident. We went on blue lights and sirens and stopped the bus and detained the suspects. Whilst searching, I found a large amount of cannabis and related items. This crime was recorded and the investigation is ongoing.

Also on Monday, we responded to a violent person in Solihull Town Centre whereby one of our own team was assaulted and damage caused to our marked police vehicle. No assault will ever be tolerated. This offender was swiftly arrested for a number of offences and transported to custody. This investigation remains ongoing.

We have a number of events upcoming and community events alongside joint visits with Solihull Community Housing. I am continuing to work closely with partner agencies and investigate ASB and neighbourhood related issues within the Elmdon Area.

Every time you pop out, it's important to take your keys with you and lock your car. 🔐
