Community Engagement Event

Tuesday 1st September 2026 Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team officer PC 2104 Geoff Coggin along with PC 3670 Leo Shepherd attended Rossmere Park “Teddy bears Picnic” with several local partners to support the final community  event of the summer holidays.

Large numbers of the public attended from different parts of our community and from all ages and backgrounds coming together for an amazing get together and it was a pleasure to take part and offer support and advice to so many members of our community. 

We conducted a walk around the park as a visible reassurance and point of contact for members of the community to speak with us and the children got to tray on the police kit and sit in the police vehicles with lights and sirens on.

There has previously been concerns raised by the community regarding issues in the park and we now have a problem-solving plan in place.
