Here are some updates around the activity we’ve carried out in the town over the last few months.

Carried out 8 positive drug warrants, seizing thousands of pounds in cash, cocaine, crack cocaine, cannabis, stun guns, and other prohibited weapons

Seized over 50 cans and bottles of alcohol from individuals whose behaviour was linked to antisocial behaviour (ASB)

16 stop searches resulting in the seizure of drugs, stolen goods or weapons.

6 wanted offenders arrested

3 people sent to prison on recall

Alongside this, we've increased foot patrols, worked closely with local businesses, town security and council partners, and charged more than 20 people to court since April. This is a considerable amount of paperwork!
