Eviction/Civil injuncton update

Good News!

Many of you will be aware that during July and August 2025, an address on Burgess Avenue, Ashton-under-Lyne was identified as the source of ongoing anti-social behaviour (ASB) and criminal activity. 

People were attending the property at all hours of the day and night, causing significant disruption and having a detrimental impact on the quality of life of neighbouring residents. This activity continued for several months.

Working in partnership with Jigsaw Homes, who successfully obtained a number of civil injunctions, we were able to gather sufficient evidence to secure the eviction of the tenant.

In addition, those who were subject to the civil injunctions were dealt with on multiple occasions for breaches of the orders. One individual was ultimately sentenced to a period of imprisonment as a result of repeatedly breaching the injunction.

We would like to thank local residents for their support, information, and patience throughout this process. We appreciate that issues such as these can take time to resolve, but the assistance provided by the community was invaluable in achieving this outcome.
