Hi everyone,

Welcome to you all that are registered to Derbyshire Alert messages and the new users.

Each week I register different residents around the seven areas I patrol, who will find this useful.

The Safer Neighbourhood Teams around South Derbyshire organise Community Catchups every so often and so this coming week, Wednesday 2nd September at The Pavillion, Woodville Road, Overseal from 10 am - 11am, i will be joining this well established coffee cafe run by volunteers.

Then after a break for other volunteers, the Community village hall in Coton-in-the-Elms, will also be having a get together which I will be attending from 11.30am too.

Crime prevention tips, and other general advice given.

Everyone is more than welcome to join me for a coffee and a chat.

Im also getting involved with the PASS WIDE yearly campaign on Sunday 6th September, which is a National campaign supporting horse riders with constant inconsiderate road users, and educating drivers when/where possible. 

This will happen on the Sunday morning around Overseal area of South Derbyshire, so please do not sound your horn and keep a good safe distance away, 2.5 metres, when overtaking safely, and SLOW right down.

Finally if anyone has any further information about nuisance dirt bikes, electric motor-cycles that are being reported, riding dangerously around Drakelow, then please get in touch via ringing 101 and asking for Derbyshire Police. 

Identifying which addresses or streets they are coming from is very helpful.  Descriptions of offenders is helpful too.
