Dear resident’s
Hope you are all well and having a good week.
Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the last couple of weeks in the Blakenall, Leamore, Birchills and Beechdale area’s
Patrols have been conducted in the Ramson’s Way area of Goscote in response to reports of cars/person’s gathering at the location late at night into the early hours of the morning.
PCSOs attended a resident’s morning at Lockside Pointe, Lockside Rd, Walsall WS2 8FE- various topics discussed and overall positive engagement had.
The team took part in OP Advance 28th August carrying out arrests, vehicle patrols, drug searches, community letter drops and engagement with the community as part of #OpAdvance The team also received support from the Dog Unit, dog handler PC Palmer and her sniffer dog PD Tez as they carried out searches for drugs in the Burrowes St area in response to reports regarding drug dealing.
The team then carried out community letter drops in the Remington Road area which has been suffering from anti-social behaviour and had some good engagement with members of the community
The team made an arrest on the morning of the 28th, taking into custody a 42-year-old man who was wanted on suspicion of harassment. We also discovered drugs following a stop and search. He remains in custody as we continue with our enquiries
The team attended a youth group at Walsall Church, Seventh Day Adventist North Street. Great positive engagement from the children and attendees of the church. Plenty of questions asked about how we can all contribute to our community
