You may recall a Bee In The Loop Alert we sent you in April alerting you to an increase in Burglary Offences in the area of Bury Road and Tonge Old Road.
Following extensive work around these offences a suspect was identified from CCTV by officers from the Bolton North Team and later arrested in connection with a Burglary at Colenso Court. At that time the male was recalled to Prison while the investigation continued and a file assembled.
Charges have now been authorised for this and other offices. The suspect has been remanded into custody and is due to next appear in court in September.
Since this action there has been a reduction in Burglary offences in the area however it is of course always wise to remain vigilant and safe. Please also ensure that all offences and suspicious activity are promptly reported to GMP using 101 or online at gmp.police.uk even if you don’t think there is an evidence.
All reports are reviewed by officers and crime scene examiners accurate reporting allows us to target our activity into the right locations at the right time.
