We have been handing out Anti-tamper screws, for vehicle number plate, at the front of the Police Station this afternoon. Thank you to everyone who popped along it was lovely to see you, next time I will try to order better weather. 

The PCSO’s have held numerous engagements this week, they have attended the Fordbridge Centre, the Junction and spent time at the front of ASDA as well as the Town Centre, KFC & McDonalds. If you see us out and about do stop for and tell us your community concerns.

Good News, PCSO Carr has liaised with Asda who are going to supply Trolley Tokens to help elevate some of the issues around the car park. These will take a couple of weeks to arrive, and then we will start to hand them out at the front of the store. Watch this space.

Chelmsley Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle on Thursday evening and whilst searching the car they recovered 2 machetes, all 4 occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

This week they have also seized 2 motorbikes, both stolen, and found another one abandoned, also stolen.  

Crime Update for the last 9 days.

Burglary.

There have been 2 burglaries, Offender/s entered a property on Greenlands Road through an open window and stolen a VR Headset along with a purse and baby clothes.

3 offenders forced a window on Pike Drive, stealing vehicle & house keys before leaving in the homeowner’s vehicle. 

Vehicle Crime

3 vehicles and 1 motorbike have been stolen across the Chelmsley and Fordbridge  areas.

1 van and 6 cars were broken into. The van had power tools stolen and a range of items including purses, drones and a tentbox were taken from the vehicles.

Please don’t leave any items on show in your vehicles, lines of enquiry are being followed after bank cards have been used and CCTV has captured some of these offences.

As the nights start to draw in Streetwatch will be keeping an eye out for any streetlights there aren't operating properly over the next few weeks, faulty lamps will be reported to SMBC. Well lit areas are a must for community safety. If you notice a faulty lamp, please make a note of the lamp number and report it through Fix My Street at www.fixmystreet.com
