Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

PCSOs Mike and Matt hopped on and off public transport, to reach some of our shoplifting and antisocial behaviour hotspots around Poole. When returning to the Bus Station a report came in regarding some nuisance youths, they were able to deal with the report swiftly catching them by surprise.

PCSO Pete has been racking the mileage up on his police bike, reaching areas more difficult to attend in vehicles, such as our wonderful heathland. We like to call it the 'Triggers broom' of bikes!

PCs Jen and Matt made an arrest in the #Rossmore area due to reports of a male walking around with a knife on display in public. This was obviously concerning and the male was safely arrested on suspicion of 'possession of a bladed article in a public place'. Enquiries are now ongoing.

PC John carried out a comprehensive investigation into a robbery that occurred in the #Newtown #Branksome area, resulting in the timely arrest of two males, who have been remanded in custody - excellent work! Being remanded in custody means a person is kept in prison or a secure centre while waiting for their trial, next court date, or sentencing.

🎟️  1 x Community Resolutions/Conditional Cautions issued (a caution is not technically the same as a conviction, but it comes with similar consequences)

👥  4 x Consequence Schemes initialised working in partnership with the BCP Council ASB Team for young adults causing antisocial behaviour

🗣️  2 x Community engagements attended

🔦  7 x Address checks and reassurance visits conducted to victims of crime/vulnerable persons and known offenders

🔍  4 x Pieces of crucial intelligence (Used for future operations and actions)

🥾 A large number of hours on foot and mobile patrol targeting our high harm areas and locations subjected to antisocial behaviour, such as Poole Bus Station, Heathland, Branksome Recreation Ground and Redlands Retail Park
