Burglary- There has been 1 report of burglary between Saturday 22nd August 2026 and Friday 28th August 2026.  This was a business premises in the Lye area.

Theft of motor vehicle – There has been two reports of Theft of a motor vehicle between Saturday 22nd August and Friday 28th August 2026.

On 25th August 2026, unknown offender/s have stolen locked, parked and unattended Vehicle on Aldi Carpark, Dudley Road, Lye.

On 27th August 2026 unknown offender/s have stolen locked, parked and unattended vehicle Chapel Street, Lye  This vehicle was recovered by officers nearby.

Theft from a motor vehicle – There has been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle between Saturday 22nd August 2026 and Friday 28th August 2026.  

Interference with a motor vehicle - There have been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle between Saturday 22nd August 2026 and Friday 28th August 2026.  

What’s been happening? Good news

Officers arrested a male who was outstanding for shop thefts within the Lye area. The male was interviewed and charged and appeared at court where he received a three week sentence suspended for 15 months. 

Yesterday officers recovered a vehicle that had been used for Fly Tipping.  The vehicle had no tax, mot and no insurance was held.  The vehicle had no current keeper.

We were very lucky to have the West Midlands Police Horses join us for our patrols in Stourbridge last week. This was well received and there was lots of engagement with the local community.
