Good evening, Results from the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team. Yesterday the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team carried out a joint operation alongside the Netherton Neighbourhood Team and our Guardian Task force colleagues. The initiative targeted Sedgley, Coseley, Lower Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton in response to ongoing community concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and the illegal use of off-road bikes. The proactive intelligence led deployment focused on deterring persistent nuisance behaviour. Key takeaways included:
More than 10 people were subject to stop and search where officers suspected wrongdoing in priority hot-spot locations.
Where traffic offences were identified, vehicles were seized under road traffic powers and the drivers prosecuted. Officers came across a male due to be detained for immigration matters, they were arrested. A number of nuisance off-road bikes were seized after riders were seen flouting road traffic regulations. High visibility patrols maintained across all targeted wards throughout the shift.
We remain committed to addressing anti-social behaviour and encourage residents to continue reporting incidents. Officers from the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team hold monthly drop-in sessions across Sedgley, Coseley, Upper Gornal & Lower Gornal where you can discuss local concerns directly with officers. Details regarding upcoming dates are published regularly in our weekly round ups.
