Please find below the latest Sussex Alerts from Eastbourne Police.

This alert also now includes an attached burglary and vehicle crime summary to help inform residents, raise awareness of recently reported crimes, and help keep our communities safe. 

The information is provided to help you stay informed, remain vigilant, and take practical steps to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.

Eastbourne Police ‘meet your team’ events September

• Tuesday 1st September, from 10:30-11:30am inside Langney shopping Centre, support, advice and awareness drop in.

• Tuesday 1st September, from 7pm at Meads Hall, Meads Street. Meads three monthly panel meeting, open to all Meads residents.

• Tuesday 8th September, from 5:30pm-6pm, Summerdown Road, Old Town, walk the beat with us.

• Tuesday 8th September, from 7pm-7:30pm, Langney Community Centre, Etchingham Road, meet your local PCSOs.

• Friday 11th September, from 10:00-11:00am, Gildredge Park, The Goffs, walk the beat with us.

• Tuesday 22nd September, from 10:00-11:00am, Eastbourne Police POD, now situation outside Clarks Shoe Shop, Terminus Road, meet your Town Centre Team.

• Thursday 24th September, from 10:30-11:00, Community Wise, Ocklynge Road, support, advice and awareness drop in.

• Thursday 24th September, from 10:30-11:30, Hampden Park Café, partnership day with Environmental First, including community litter-pick, and walk the beat with us.

• Saturday 26th September, from 11:00am-12:00pm, outside 4 Seasons Brasserie, Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne, meet your local PCSOs.

Obtain crime prevention advice, meet your local policing team officers, ask questions, and share your concerns; as well as an opportunity to discuss and hear first-hand how we’re tackling issues in your neighbourhood.

VAWG awareness event

Last week, Sussex Police was pleased to welcome a range of partner organisations to The Beacon for a day of VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) awareness.

A huge thank you to Hersana, AGAL Wellbeing, Interventions Alliance, Victim Services, Mothers' Union, Victim Support, and East Sussex County Council Domestic Abuse Partnership and Strategy Officers for joining us and sharing their expertise.

It was a great opportunity for members of our communities to learn about the many services available to support those affected by domestic abuse, violence against women and girls, as well as other forms of abuse and violence.

By bringing together a wide range of organisations, we were able to showcase the support available to everyone, regardless of their gender identity, background, or age who may be experiencing harm or seeking help for themselves or someone they know.

Thank you to all our partners for helping to raise awareness and help ensure that those affected know where they can access support.
