Your Street Engagement Team (SET) Officers continue to patrol and respond to incidents within Manchester City Centre

Across Manchester, we’re working with partners to support victims, reduce harm, and keep our communities safe.

SET carries out proactive patrols alongside Manchester City Council Rough Sleepers Team and ASBAT.

Throughout this past week, we have:

✅ Arrested a male who threw a bottle of his own urine at SET Officers and a civilian member of Manchester Council. Whilst Greater Manchester Police does accept a certain amount of risk with their role, it is NEVER acceptable to assault Police Officers and we do not come to work to have bodily fluids thrown at us. We will always take a zero tolerance approach to such offences. 

This male was charged with three offences including assaulting a Police Officer and was remanded to court.
