Appealing for Witnesses

Dear Resident,

Our Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses and footage after a boy was seriously injured when he fell off an e-scooter in Bradford.

It happened at about 8.10pm yesterday (Wednesday) in Barkerend Road.

An 11-year-old boy was travelling downhill towards Bradford city centre when he came off the scooter, close to the Hendford Drive junction.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The boy was the sole rider of the scooter, but was travelling with two other males who were also on an e-scooter.

The Roads Policing Unit is keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw what happened in the time leading up to it.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who saw, or who has footage of the scooter being taken away after the incident.
