Dear Residents,

This is an update from the Local Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team.

What`s been happening:

Officer's and PCSO's have been continuing to carry out patrol's in the local neighbourhood.

We are currently seeing an increase in reports of burglary and theft from motor vehicles, we are continuing to monitor these incidents - Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, secure their homes and vehicles, and report any suspicious activity.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:

The Hillfields Neighbourhood team have had a busy week out and about engaging in the local community.

We have had several community engagements this set such as:

. Cuppa with a Copper at Cygnet Hospital

. Hillfields PACT meeting

. Hillfields Residents Association Meeting

Our officers have continued with Targeted Guardian Patrols in Lady Herbert's Garden, Hillfields and Coventry city centre, These patrols are conducted to target ASB.

ARRESTS:

This week your local officers made some great arrests !!!!

Altogether there were 7 arrests made regarding

offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood.

CCTV REGISTY

On our recent Community Engagement meetings it has been shared around the opportunity to join West Midlands Police CCTV Registry Scheme. In residents signing up to this scheme it will allow officers investigating crime within Hillfields to contact yourselves in supporting our enquires.

Register your CCTV and doorbell cameras with us today to receive alerts when your footage may help us catch criminals operating in your area.

It takes just 60 seconds to add your details to our secure police system and within minutes, you could be helping us solve serious crimes. You’ll just add your name, address, email and the number of cameras you control.

How it works in three steps:

You will receive a text or email when a crime happens near your home or business and our officers believe your CCTV may have recorded the incident.

Upload the images via the secure link contained in the message.

Privacy:

Your name, address camera details or any other personal information will not be publicly available on the secure site.

Investigating officers will only be able to see cameras plotted on a digital map and held on a secure police system with strictly controlled access.

We will not have access to your cameras or stored images – you decide what images you share with us.

We will only contact you if we believe you may have recorded the incident or suspects. You should subscribe to WMNow.co.uk if you wish to receive crime alerts and other policing updates from us.

Sharing your recording with us does not mean you will have to attend court.

You can unsubscribe at any time.
