Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Thankyou to the motorists and local residents who were kind enough to wait whilst we dealt with a serious three vehicle Road Traffic Collision on the A49 at Marshbrook bends today. We understand the delay impacts on everyone's journey but we worked alongside, Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Bishops Castle fire fighters and West Midlands Ambulance Service and the West Midlands air ambulance to extricate the injured as soon as possible. The collision involved a small white hatchback vehicle, a recovery lorry with a van on board and a marked Patient Transport Ambulance. The road was re opened as soon as we possibly could given the logistics involved. The injured parties have been taken to hospital and we wish them a speedy recovery. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.westmercia.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org Get Involved Please consider getting involved by registering for these messages, this will enable you to contribute to the local priority survey.
