Dear Resident, With the serious incident that took place on the morning of Sunday 23rd August 2026, I just wanted to again provide details of the upcoming surgery on Friday, where officers will be present to discuss any issues or concerns. A male has now been charged in relation to the incident - Charges brought in Ramsgate murder investigation | Kent Police Further to the surgery details, I also wanted to provide another update on some of the things local officers have been involved with over the last week; A 33 year old male arrested in the town centre in relation to a domestic incident, for which charges of assault and strangulation have been secured, with the male remanded in custody. E-bike seized for destruction by officers after failing to stop and being driven erratically in the town centrePersons detained and searched under the misuse of drugs act following reports of anti-social behaviour in St Georges ChurchyardOn 21/08/26, officers responded to a report of a male in possession of weapons on Grange Road, Ramsgate. A 40 year old male was arrested and charged with five offences, and has been remanded in custody. A 46 year old female arrested and charged in relation to shoplifting in the town centre.A 55 year old male arrested for multiple offences of shoplifting in the town centre, for which he remains on bail. A 40 year old male arrested and charged for drunk and disorderly, criminal damage and assault on emergency worker. On 23/08/26, officers received reports of a male in possession of a knife in the town centre area. Officers arrived within minutes, and following a foot chase, a male was detained and a knife located, resulting in the males arrest. This is just a brief snapshot of incidents, amongst multi-agency meetings, welfare checks and other daily business. Again, please do come along on Friday to speak with local officers.
