Community Update: Joint Operation Tackling Drug Supply and County Lines |
||
|
Yesterday, your local policing team worked alongside officers from Project Servitor, British Transport Police, and Kings Cross Safer Neighbourhood Team to carry out a joint operation aimed at disrupting drug supply and tackling county lines activity in and around the local area, specifically area's including and surrounding St Pancras International Train Line Station.
Project Servitor uses both highly visible and plain-clothed officers to deter, detect and disrupt a wide range of criminal activity. The approach is designed to make it difficult for criminals to operate while reassuring the public and protecting vulnerable people.
County lines is a form of criminality where organised crime groups exploit vulnerable adults and children to transport and sell drugs across different areas using dedicated mobile phone lines, often using the rail networks to travel.
Throughout the operation, officers conducted a number of stop and searches, resulting in positive outcomes, including the seizure of suspected cannabis. Officers also engaged with several vulnerable individuals, identifying safeguarding concerns and making referrals to partner agencies to ensure appropriate support could be provided.
The operation demonstrated the value of effective partnership working. By combining resources, intelligence and expertise, officers were able to target criminality, identify those at risk of exploitation, and provide safeguarding interventions where needed.
This activity highlights our ongoing commitment to tackling drug-related crime, disrupting county lines networks, and protecting the most vulnerable members of our community.
We would like to thank members of the public for their continued support and encourage anyone with information relating to drug dealing, exploitation or county lines activity to report it to police. Your information can help us keep our communities safe.
