Lees Car crime

The Lees area has recently been targeted by offenders using technology to steal vehicles on Nelson Street, Lees on 21/08/26 at 00:19 hrs, offenders hold a device near the outside of a property to capture the signal from a keyless car key stored inside the home. They can then use this signal to gain access to and steal the vehicle.

To help protect your vehicle, keep car keys away from doors and windows, store them in a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch picture below ) where possible, and ensure your vehicle is locked and secured at all times. Please report any suspicious activity to Greater Manchester Police.
