Monthly Update for July 2026 for the Witton & Rudheath Ward

Anti-Social Behaviour

Report of young children playing football in the garden. The ball has been continually kicking into the neighbours garden, hitting the garden shed which has caused minor damage.

Report of youths starting a fire on Gadbrook Park. Fire Service attended, put the fire out and advised the youths of the risks/dangers of staring fire, particularly in the hot and dry weather.

Report of a dirt bike being ridden up and down Laburnum Road.

Burglary

No reports received.

Theft

No reports received.

Road Safety

Road Traffic Collision on King George Avenue/Danefield Road a vehicle has collided with a parked vehicle and a fence. Driver has run off and was located inside a nearby property. Driver provided a positive breath test and was subsequently arrested. The investigation is continuing.

Vehicle stopped on Farm Road, driver believed to be driving under the influence of drugs. The driver provided a negative drugs wipe test but had been observed driving whilst using a mobile phone and was issued a ticket.

Vehicle stopped on Middlewich Road. Driver provided a positive drugs wipe test and was also found in possession of cannabis.

Speed Enforcement conducted on Griffiths Road, 3 offences captured and report for processing.

Parking/highway Obstructions

Report of vehicles obstructing the footpath on Lavender Drive, advisory notices issued. Patrols to continue to monitor the location.

Weekly Police Surgeries

The surgeries covering both Witton & Rudheath and Shakerley areas will be held on

Thursday 3rd September, on Princess Road, Allostock. A Police vehicle will be parked near to the play area, between 2pm – 3pm.

Wednesday 9th September, at Costa Coffee, Cheshire Avenue, Lostock Gralam between 1pm – 2pm.

Saturday 19th September, at The Venue, Gadbrook Road, Rudheath between 10am – 11am.

Thursday 24th September, on Hulme Lane, Lower Peover, A Police vehicle will be parked near to The Country Store, between 2pm - 3pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along to say hello and discuss any local issues or concerns.
