Officers Taking Action to Tackle Street Drinking and Anti-Social Behaviour |
||
|
Local officers are continuing proactive work to address street drinking and associated anti-social behaviour (ASB) across the area, helping to ensure that our communities remain safe, welcoming, and enjoyable places to live, work and visit.
Street drinking can often lead to a range of issues, including intimidation, disorder, littering, noise nuisance, and alcohol-related crime. These behaviours can have a significant impact on residents, businesses, and visitors, affecting people's sense of safety and confidence within the community.
In response to concerns raised by the public and local businesses, officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations. Individuals involved in street drinking and anti-social behaviour are being engaged with, offered support where appropriate, and dealt with using relevant enforcement powers when necessary.
The positive impact of this work has included:
We recognise that anti-social behaviour can have a lasting impact on people's quality of life, and we remain committed to working alongside our partners and the community to address these issues effectively.
We encourage anyone experiencing or witnessing anti-social behaviour to report it. Your information helps us identify problem areas, deploy resources effectively and act against those responsible.
