Speed Watch Operation - Wilsden

Dear Resident,

Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team officers carried out a community speed watch on Lane side / junction with Station road, Wilsden on Saturday 22nd August 2026. This was in response to concerns raised by local residents about speeding at this location. The speed limit for this stretch is 20 mph. 

Of the 53 vehicles checked :

20 were at 20mph or less
15 were at 21mph to 25mph
18 were at 26mph +

Please note - this was a speed watch operation to give officers an idea of the number of drivers exceeding the speed limit and no speeding tickets were issued on this occasion. Further such operations are planned.
