Action Taken - South Street Drug Dealing Wardleworth

Police officers have been carrying out proactive patrols and enforcement activity in and around South Street, Ball Street and West Street following reports of suspected drug dealing and associated anti social behaviour in the area. As part of this ongoing work, a number of individuals have been stopped and searched, vehicles linked to our enquiries have been identified, and intelligence has been gathered to support further action against those involved in criminality.

These locations remain a priority for the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and officers will continue to conduct high visibility and plain clothed patrols to target those who are causing concern within the community.

We are working closely with Rochdale Community Safety Team and partner agencies to tackle the issues being reported and provide reassurance to residents.

We understand the impact that drug related activity can have on local communities and want residents to know that we are committed to taking firm and positive action to keep our neighbourhoods safe. We encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity or has information about drug dealing in the area to report it to Greater Manchester Police. Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us identify offenders and take action against those involved in criminal activity.
