Good News Of the Week! |
It's been another positive week for the team, with officers making two arrests while carrying out proactive patrols in the local area. During a routine patrol in St Mary's Gardens, officers stopped a male under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Following checks, it was established that he was wanted for failing to appear at court, and he was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. In a separate incident, officers also arrested a local prolific shoplifter, helping to tackle repeat offending and support businesses that are often impacted by theft. This shows how important our ongoing patrols are in the areas you tell us matter most. By maintaining a visible presence in locations identified by residents as anti-social behaviour hotspots, we can deter crime, engage with the community, and take action against those who cause harm and disruption. We're committed to listening to your concerns and responding to the issues that affect you and your neighbourhood. The information you share with us plays a vital role in helping us understand local issues, focus our patrols where they are needed most, and take positive action against offenders. We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who continues to get in touch and share information with us. Whether it's a concern about anti-social behaviour, suspicious activity, or ongoing crime issues, every piece of information helps and contributes to a safer community. By working alongside our residents, carrying out proactive patrols, and taking positive action against offenders, we can continue to make our neighbourhoods safer, friendlier places for everyone.
‘Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.’
