Vehicle Seized under section 165 Road Traffic Act in Whaley Bridge

 VEHICLE SEIZED UNDER SECTION 165 ROAD TRAFFIC ACT

As part of our ongoing neighbourhood policing activity, officers have recently seized a vehicle under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act in Whaley Bridge.

Section 165 gives police the power to seize a vehicle where there are reasonable grounds to believe it is being driven without valid insurance or without the appropriate driving entitlement.

 Why is this important?

Driving without insurance is illegal and can have serious consequences. Insurance helps protect drivers, passengers and other road users if something goes wrong.

Before driving your vehicle on the road, it is important to make sure:

 You have valid motor insurance for the vehicle
 You are correctly insured to drive that particular vehicle
