Did you witness incident in Hemel Hempstead?

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was seriously injured in Hemel Hempstead over the weekend.

Police were called at around 6.55pm on Saturday (22 August) following an incident in St Albans Road.

It was reported that an altercation had occurred on the steps leading towards an underpass near The Plough Roundabout (known as the Magic Roundabout), adjacent to Jasmine Place.

A man aged in his 20s sustained an injury to his leg, believed to be a stab wound, and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition at this time.

Three males, aged 38, 18 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Mooney, from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said: “As a result of fast time enquiries, officers were able to make swift arrests. 

“Meanwhile, our investigations are continuing, including an extensive review of CCTV.

“As part of our enquiries, we’re also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to assist us. We’d particularly like to trace three females who we believe walked through the underpass shortly before the incident occurred.
