Crime Prevention Advice: Theft Of Motor Vehicle

Dear Resident,

We would like to make residents aware of the risk of theft of motor vehicles and encourage everyone to take simple steps to help protect their vehicles.

You can reduce the risk of becoming a victim by:

Always locking your vehicle and ensuring all windows are fully closed.

Never leaving keys inside the vehicle or unattended.

Keeping keyless entry fobs away from doors and windows and storing them in a signal-blocking pouch where possible.

Removing any valuables from the vehicle and keeping them out of sight.

Parking in well-lit areas or secure locations whenever possible.

Considering additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, immobilisers, or vehicle tracking devices.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around vehicles in your area.
