Males trying car doors in your area - suspicious circumstances

You may remember the alert we sent out the other week regarding some car thefts and car break ins/ attempted break ins that have occurred recently this month. 👇

Earlier this morning, Skelmersdale Neighbourhood Team were made aware of 2 males trying car doors in the area overnight - with the last sighting being on Millbrook Close/ Thurston at approx 0230 hours today.

If you believe you have had things taken from your car overnight or have witnessed any suspicious behaviour, please can you respond to this email or ring 101 and quote log number LC-20260823-0180. You can also quote this log number if you have any cctv footage of 2 males matching the following description:

MALE 1 - black balaclava, blue jacket, black trousers

MALE 2 - no balaclava, lighter coloured clothing than MALE 1 

Please use this as a reminder to keep all cars locked and no valuables left in cars overnight. It is also advised to get a faraday pouch if you have a keyless car fob. 

Police issued Faraday pouches are currently of limited availability. If you/ someone you know in the area may benefit from a police issued faraday pouch then please reply to this message.
