Alert- Pedal Bike Theft

Dear Residents/Businesses,

We received reports this morning of a pedal cycle theft that occurred overnight in the local area.

Please ensure that any bicycles left in gardens, driveways, or other outdoor locations are securely locked and, wherever possible, stored out of sight. Opportunist thieves often target bicycles that are easily accessible and unsecured.

We encourage residents to:

Secure bicycles with a good quality lock.

Store bicycles in a locked shed, garage, or inside the property where possible.

Ensure sheds and outbuildings are fitted with suitable locks.

Record bicycle serial numbers and consider property marking or registration schemes.

If you notice any suspicious activity, please report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101, or 999 if a crime is in progress. Report online to Police www.gmp.police.uk
