Operation on Kings Road

Yesterday Chelsea Safer Neighbourhood Officers joined our colleagues from Kings Road Partnership, My Local Bobby Street Team, RBKC Wardens, The Safer Business Network and Private Security.

Joint business engagements were conducted and crime prevention advice was given to shops and businesses on the Kings Road and adjacent streets. 

One of our goals is to encourage businesses to report any incidents. Every report is looked at and helps us build a pattern of behaviour for prolific offenders. 

The heavy presence of officers on the street helps to deter shoplifting, just by our visibility, however two shoplifters who didn't get the message were detained in Waitrose. 

A few days ago three males were arrested for shoplifting. They had been taking items from Marylebone, New Bond Street, Piccadilly and The Kings Road since October 2025. The total value was £200,000. Investigations from officers in Chelsea and Central London brought about this result.

Our partners work tirelessly to keep the King's Road safe and we value the effort they put in and thank them. 

As a team we will be able to tackle this issue and we will continue these operations.
