Arrested and charged |

Yesterday morning, 21 August, following our return from a period of annual leave, we became aware of an email from a local resident reporting the theft of a parcel. A crime report was created immediately, and CCTV footage enabled officers to quickly identify a suspect. By midday, the suspect had been arrested and was in police custody. The individual was subsequently charged and is due to appear before the court next month. This incident demonstrates the importance of reporting all thefts, regardless of the value of the item stolen. We encourage residents to report parcel thefts directly to the Dulwich Village Safer Neighbourhood Team via our dedicated mailbox. We will assess all reports and take appropriate action as swiftly as possible. We would also like to highlight the significant role that CCTV plays in helping us identify, arrest, and prosecute offenders. Where possible, we encourage residents to consider installing a CCTV system or video doorbell, as these can provide valuable evidence and greatly assist police investigations. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our community safe.
