Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

Hello All,

If you read our weekly crime reports, you will know we have been tracking a linked series of offences in Beckton. A man was targeting and following women from the DLR station and sexually assaulting them.

I am very pleased to report that this suspect has now been arrested and is currently in police custody.

Our team conducted many hours of late-night patrols to catch this individual. We reviewed extensive CCTV and tracked his routes, but it was ultimately our CID (Criminal Investigation Department) colleagues who successfully identified him.

The suspect is believed to have committed six offences since June. I am optimistic that he will receive a custodial sentence for these crimes.
