Dear Resident
Recent priority surveys have shown that drug dealing remains a concern for residents in the Wincheap area. We want the community to know that we are listening and taking action where opportunities arise.
Today, I, with the assistance of colleagues from the Canterbury Community Safety Unit, carried out robust policing activity in Wincheap. During this activity, two individuals were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, and a quantity of suspected controlled drugs was seized.
Both individuals were taken into custody and will be dealt with appropriately while enquiries continue.
Although today's activity was not specifically focused on drug offences, it demonstrates our commitment to addressing the issues raised by local residents. By maintaining a visible presence and proactively engaging with our communities, we are able to identify and disrupt criminal activity that affects the area.
We will continue to focus our efforts in Wincheap and act on the concerns that residents have highlighted to us. Thank you to everyone who has completed our surveys, spoken with officers, and reported information to Kent Police. Your feedback helps shape our priorities and enables us to take positive action within the community. | ||
