Appeal for witnesses following assault – Aylesbury

We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Aylesbury. 

At around 2.15am on Sunday 16 August, a man was seen on CCTV assaulting the victim, a man in his twenties, causing him to fall to the floor outside Mirage Nightclub, Buckingham Street. 

A second man also approached the victim and is believed to have attempted to get close to him during the incident. 

The first offender is described as a black man around 5ft 6ins tall with brown dreadlock style hair that was put back. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white pattern on the back, blue jeans and black trainers with a white sole. 

The victim did not sustain any injuries. 

A 23-year-old man from Newham has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries. 

A 21-year-old man from Huddersfield has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries. 

We have been investigating this incident since it was reported to us, and as part of our ongoing enquiries I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened. 

We are also appealing for anyone with any CCTV or dash-cam footage around the time of the incident to come forward. 

We would also like to appeal to the woman who was with the victim during the assault as we believe she may have vital information in this investigation.
