Street Briefing: Grange Road Incident : Sat 22 Aug 08:40

On 21/08/26 around 08:25 hours, there was an incident on Grange Road, Ramsgate involving a male with weapons threatening members of the public. I attended this due to being on patrol in the area and arrested the male on suspicion of various offences. He remains in custody at this time. 

Tomorrow, Saturday 22nd August 2026 at 08:40 hours, colleagues and I will be holding a 30 minute street briefing outside the Co-op, Grange Road. I understand that this incident may have caused some concern and was witnessed by lots of members of the public, so the purpose of this briefing is to issue any updates on the investigation and to provide reassurance.
