BEYOND THE SURFACE | 11 From Intervention to Change.

We've spent this series looking beyond what we first see.

But understanding a problem is only the beginning.

What happens next matters..  

Sometimes it means connecting someone with the right support Or working hand in hand with another organisation that is better placed to help.

Sometimes it means setting clear boundaries And sometimes, where harm continues, it means taking appropriate action.

It comes to a point, Good neighbourhood policing isn't about choosing between support and enforcement. It's about understanding what is happening, protecting people from harm and taking the right action at the right time.

We've seen this in our own community: when concerns are shared, information besides could be brought together, concerned partners can act and something s can begin to change.

Intervention matters of course. But what happens during the couse of action and  afterwards matters too.
